1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have as a user of the Interva application ("App").

Interva is a minimalist interval timer for HIIT and Tabata workouts. Our core principle is privacy by design — your data is stored exclusively on your device, without collection, tracking, or transmission to us.

3. What data do we collect?

3.1 Data stored locally

The Interva app stores only local data on your device:

• Workout Data:
• Workout names (e.g., "Monday HIIT")
• Interval configuration (rounds, exercises, work/rest times)
• Last workout date and workout history
• Preferences:
• Your display name (entered during onboarding, stored only on your device)
• Sound & haptics settings

This data is stored locally in device memory (local storage) and is never sent to any server. We have no servers and no access to your data.

3.2 Data we do NOT collect

The App does not collect and has no access to: - Location data - Contacts, calendar, photos, microphone, or camera - Health or biometric data - IP addresses or cookies - Analytics or tracking data - Device identifiers for tracking purposes - Any personal data transmitted to us

4. How your data is used

Data stored locally on your device is used only for:

• Displaying and editing your workouts
• Saving workout progress and history
• Running the interval timer
• Remembering your preferences

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to any third parties — we never receive it in the first place.

5. Where is your data stored?

5.1 Local storage only

All data is stored exclusively on your device (iOS or Android). It is not transmitted to the cloud, servers, or any third-party services.

5.2 No cross-device synchronization

Interva does not offer synchronization between devices. If you install the App on a new device, workouts from your previous device will not be available. Deleting the App permanently deletes all data.

6. Data security

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you control its security. We recommend:

• Keeping your device updated with the latest security patches
• Using a lock screen (PIN, biometrics)
• Regularly backing up your device (iCloud for iOS, Google backup for Android)

The App relies on standard iOS/Android storage security and does not implement additional encryption of local data.

7. Pricing

The App is currently free of charge and contains no in-app purchases and no advertisements. If paid features are introduced in the future, this Policy and the Terms of Service will be updated before any purchase is offered, and all payments would be processed by Apple App Store or Google Play — we would not collect any payment data ourselves.

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we do not collect, receive, or process your personal data on any server, most data-protection obligations are satisfied by design. You always have:

• Right of access (GDPR Art. 15 / CCPA §1798.100) — you have full access to all your data directly in the App.
• Right to rectification (GDPR Art. 16) — you can edit your workouts and name in the App at any time.
• Right to erasure (GDPR Art. 17 / CCPA §1798.105) — you can delete individual workouts in the App, or uninstall the App to permanently delete all data.
• Right to data portability (GDPR Art. 20) — your data resides on your device under your control.
• CCPA note for California residents — we do not sell or share personal information; there is nothing to opt out of.

9. Cookies and tracking

Interva does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any tracking technologies.

10. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone — including children — because the App collects no personal data at all.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective from the date of publication of the new version at www.interva.fit/privacy. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g., via an in-app notice).
